Sonos Playbar Wall Mount Above Fireplace

I m going to be mounting a tv above a fireplace you will be slightly looking up when sitting and i was going to put my playbar on the mantle.

Don t mind the modem in the fireplace ro. Looking to purchase a sonos play bar for our new house and want to get some ideas on where to place it. The dynamic mounting soundbar bracket would cause the front of the playbar to be flush with the tv which means that the back of the playbar would extend deeper than the tv. I have a tv mounted above the fireplace in my living room with cathedral ceiling that opens to the loft area. It s on the edge to expose the surface area so to speak as much as possible. Placing it on the wall could actual make it worse since the mantel would block the sound. For me personally my tv is mounted above the fireplace and the playbar is sitting on the mantel.

I don t have space below for the playbar so will probably have to mount it above. The top portion of the mantle is 51 wide. Perhaps there is some sort of heat shield or just a mantle you could install but that may effect the aesthetics and possibly the sound quality. Display results with all search words.

Will it be better to mount the playbar above or below the tv. The fireplace is self vented gas which means it throws a lot of heat directly out and up towards the playbar and tv.
